"vi veri ueniversum vivus vici"
"By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe."
-Christopher Marlowe
My name is James Williams, I am 19 years old, born and raised in Plumas County, CA. Pretty generic way to start this off right? Well I'm not a writer, nor am I a good businessman. What am I? I am a good person, I believe in right and wrong, and believe that everyone works hard for their money. Information technology is my passion, my mistress and my career. Many people ask why my prices are lower than my competitors, it has a very simple answer, I charge what I think my work is worth. Working on computers is not worth $70 to $80 and in NYC's case, $150 per hour. When you do something you love, it's not about the money. It's about the challenge, and for me, being able to help people who need it.
I developed an interest in technology when I was about 8 years old by taking things apart and trying to learn how they work. At 9 I built my first computer it ended up costing a little over $400, I borrowed the money from my dad and worked to repay it back. Since then I have not looked back, learning everything I can to further my love and become the best at what I do. At 15 I discovered a new passion that compliments my computer skills rather well, website design and programming. I continued to foster my love of computers and websites by teaching myself, over the next 4 years, HTML and CSS.
Once I was fully invested in the IT industry I knew what my goal would be: Opening my own business. At 16 I started working with Christopher Wright in Paradise, CA as a technician for A2 Computer Repair. When I turned 18 and graduated I moved up to Paradise to fully indulge myself in the industry. I was offered a position as Co-Owner of A2 Computer repair at that time and gladly accepted it with open arms. We ran A2 Computer Repair for another year, when tragedy hit. Christopher Wright passed away. I made the decision to close the business doors and move back to where I was raised, and to where my new niece and the center of my life, Makaela, was going to be.
On May, 2011 I opened my services under the name of J-Tech. We provide IT solutions, Social Networking and Web Design to the beautiful area of Quincy, CA. We provide complete IT services to local small businesses, this includes pc repair, network setup, web design, and social media consulting. Our motto is "If we can't fix it, you won't pay for it!" What does that entail? It means that if we are not capable of fixing your computer or providing any of our services, you won't pay a dime. Nothing for time spent, nothing for travel fees, nothing at all! How many companies do you know who can make you a promise like that?
